See the Ways Ford Has Refined Beast Mode for the 2018 Mustang

Not only has the iconic Ford Mustang been updated for 2018, we’ve also learned that the Shelby GT350 will remain, and that an even more powerful GT500 is in the works! But before we jump the gauntlet on those forthcoming models, you probably want to know what the Blue Oval has done to make its perennial (and bestselling) pony car better.

The changes are subtle, but they add up in a big way. The V6 engine option is gone for 2018, and the six-speed manual transmission is now standard with an updated dual-mass flywheel and twin-disc clutch for better responsiveness. There’s also a new optional ten-speed automatic on tap, as well as standard LED headlights. Ford has also added a whole arsenal of safety features and personal customization touches, including MyKey, and a customizable gauge cluster.

Interested in trying your hand behind the wheel of the new Mustang? We can let you know when it arrives so you can take it for a test drive. To get the ball rolling, contact our Ford dealership in Canton, NC whenever it’s convenient, and give us your name.
