Meet the 2023 Ford F-150 in Canton
The Ford F-150 pickup truck has been on the bestselling list for many years, and Ford keeps it there by making updates and improvements annually. The truck now comes with a choice of turbo engines and a hybrid option, plus lots of new tech. For the 2023 model year, the F-150 has a new Rattle trim in the lineup with off-road extras and rattlesnake-inspired badging. Here are some of the features and equipment you can get with the 2023 F-150.
Trim Levels (Exterior)
The F-150 lineup starts with the XL. It has 17-inch steel wheels and wired trailer connections. If you get the new Rattler, it adds skid plates and all-terrain tires. The XLT is up next with 17-inch alloy wheels, fog lights, and power-adjustable side mirrors. The Lariat has 18-inch alloy wheels, LED headlights, and LED fog lights. Bumping up to the King Ranch gets you LED taillights, while the Platinum has 22-inch alloy wheels, power-deployable running boards, and LED lighting in the bed. The F-150 also comes in the Tremor, Raptor, and Raptor R trims with off-road features.
Engine (Power)
You have plenty of powertrain choices with the F-150. The base engine is a 3.3-liter V-6 with 290 horsepower, but a 2.7-liter turbo V-6 is available with 325 horsepower. Up next, the 5.0-liter V-8 gets you 400 horsepower. A 3.5-liter V-6 for the Raptor generates 450 horsepower, and the Raptor R has a supercharged 5.2-liter V-8 with 700 horsepower. If you prefer hybrid power, you can get a hybrid powertrain with 430 horsepower.
Performance
Every F-150 engine works with a 10-speed automatic transmission. Rear-wheel drive comes standard with all models except the Raptor and Raptor R, which come with four-wheel drive. A four-wheel-drive system is optional for the rest of the lineup. The F-150 has the highest tow rating for a light-duty pickup. It can pull up to 14,000 pounds and carry up to a 3,315-pound payload.
Interior
The largest F-150 cabs have room for up to six people. The entry-level XL has vinyl flooring and upholstery, but you'll get cloth in the XLT. The mid-level Lariat comes with leather upholstery and has power-adjustable front seats with heat and ventilation. This trim also upgrades to a 12-inch touchscreen for the infotainment system and comes with satellite radio. All F-150s have Apple CarPlay and Android Auto connectivity, and the Limited has an 18-speaker B&O stereo system. Other available tech features include a 400-watt AC outlet, integrated navigation, and the Sync 4 voice control system. Ford's Pro Power Onboard comes with the Limited.
Safety Features
Every 2023 Ford F-150 has several advanced driver aids as part of the Ford Co-Pilot360 group. This package includes forward collision warning, automatic braking, automatic high-beam headlights, and pedestrian detection. It also comes with lane-keep assist, wiper-activated headlights, lane-departure warning, and rear parking sensors. The XLT and above add a blind-spot monitor with rear cross-traffic alert and rear automatic braking. If you have the King Ranch, it also comes with adaptive cruise control and an evasive steering assist system. The Limited adds a 360-degree camera system.
