Powertrain

Ford has updated the Mustang’s standard powerplant with a turbocharged 2.3L inline-4 making 315 horsepower and 350 lb-ft of torque. Of course, the traditional option of equipping the car with a 5.0L V8 has returned, as well, with the engine producing 480 horsepower on GT models and 500 horsepower on the Dark Horse. This powerful motor also generates up to 418 lb-ft of torque, which helps achieve an incredible 0 to 60 time of well under five seconds.

Despite this impressive performance, the Mustang is capable of impressive fuel efficiency with four-cylinder models earning up to 33 MPG highway. As for the transmission, a lightning-quick 10-speed SelectShift automatic transmission with paddle shifters comes standard, but the GT and Dark Horse offer a 6-speed manual with rev matching.

Chassis

Compared with the previous generation, the new Mustang handles even better. That’s thanks to its refined suspension setup, consisting of a double-ball-joint MacPherson strut front suspension with lightweight aluminum control arms, an integral-link independent rear suspension, and stabilizer bars. When buyers add the innovative MagneRide dampers, they can choose to stiffen the suspension for sharper response or soften it for greater comfort.

The Handling Package is available for every trim and includes19-inch Brembo brakes and 19-inch wheels finished in Carbonized Gray. Tarnished Dark-painted wheels are exclusive to Dark Horse models equipped with this package.

Interior

Taking inspiration from fighter jets, the Mustang’s cockpit features driver-oriented controls and displays, including a customizable 12.4-inch digital instrument panel, and highly supportive seating. A large variety of available themes, such as Black Onyx, Carmine Red, and Deep Indigo, allow owners to inject a bit of their own personality into the cabin. Many trims come standard with dual-zone climate control, ambient lighting, and heated and cooled seats.

Infotainment

All Mustangs get a 13.2-inch Sync 4 touchscreen infotainment system that offers voice recognition, Apple CarPlay/Android Auto integration, and cloud-based software updates. Support for a 4G LTE Wi-Fi hotspot and SiriusXM satellite radio are also present across the lineup. The available voice-activated navigation system features pinch-to-zoom capability and real-time traffic updates.

Sporting a long list of exciting upgrades, the Mustang continues to set the bar for its class. Visit Ken Wilson Ford today and experience the latest model!
